Sunday's Cool

Sunday School? No! Sunday's Cool!
At New Joy, children are encouraged to Know Jesus, Grow in their Faith, and to Go and share this great news! We help children establish a close and meaningful relationship with Jesus, provide them opportunities to grow in their faith, and encourage them to go and tell others about how much God loves them. Each child is cherished and recognized as a special gift from God. 
At New Joy, children attend the opening of worship and participate in a meaningful children’s sermon. After that, they are dismissed to Sunday’s Cool. During this Sunday school program, children are split into four age-based groups and learn exciting Bible stories, make cool crafts, establish lasting friendships, and learn to apply God’s word to their everyday lives. During any month that has a fifth Sunday, our children remain in worship and participate as greeters, ushers, scripture-readers, and communion servers. It gives even the littlest ones a chance to actively participate in worship. We certainly hope you’ll choose to have your children participate in Sunday’s Cool. Of course, children are always a joy to have in worship at any time!
One highlight during the year is our annual summer Vacation Bible School called Joy Days for kids. It’s a weeklong event full of fun, fellowship, and spiritual growth!
Children and family activities take place regularly throughout the year. These include:
  • Family outings like ice-skating, camping retreats, & family picnics
  • Holiday parties
  • Movie nights
