CROP Walk

New Joy will join the churches of Hamilton County in this year's CROP Walk event by stepping out in the CROP Hunger Walk on Sunday, October 3 at 1:30 pm at Downtown Carmel's Gazebo. If you would like to walk, please contact Roberta Ressler. We hope you will pledge to support our walkers with a financial gift, either on a walker's envelope or online! Community Day

New Joy's third annual "Community Day" will be held on Sunday, September 12th. (CLICK HERE for additional information) Come out and join us for food, fun, games, music and fellowship as we celebrate the community of Westfield, Indiana! Several community organizations will be on hand to provide information, there will be pony rides and lots of fun games for all! The Indiana Bloodmobile will also be there. Every two seconds, someone needs blood - this is your opportunity to save someone's life, while you're having fun at Community Day! Please join us for worship at 8:00 and/or 9:45 a.m., then stay for lunch and our Community Day celebration from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

'More than Money Matters' Workshops

Join us for an interactive, values-based money management workship that starts with a foundation of stewardship. In this award-winning series, you'll learn how to: Identify what is important in your life and set goals Make sharing, saving and spending decisions that align with your values Apply basic money management tools to help you budget, reduce debt and find money to save Sessions: Stewardship and Values Communicating About Money Setting Goals Credit and Debt Finding Money to Save Budget and Net Worth The workshops are free and offered by Karen Wolffis, FIC, Financial Associate who also happens to be a partner in ministry at New Joy!  They will be held on Thursday evenings at 6:30 p.m. beginning on September 9, 2010. To register, contact Karen at 317/509-2898 or karen.wolffis@thrivent.com by September 1st, so she can ensure that there are enough materials for all attendees.

Women's Retreat

WOMEN OF ALL AGES! Are you ready for a weekend of friendship and faith? Laughter and growing? New discoveries and spiritual refreshment? If so, you are happily invited to attend a retreat JUST FOR YOU this spring! Pastor Connie will lead us and we will discover God's promises in Scripture and God's gifts in life, to guide us always. When: Friday, March 4th @ 6:00 p.m. through Saturday, March 5th @ 3:00 p.m. Where: Benedict Inn Retreat Center, Beech Grove, IN Cost: $50, includes a PRIVATE room, breakfast, lunch, retreat materials and conference facilities. (And you won't have to cook or do the dishes, either!)

Scrip Sundays

New Joy is making the Scrip Program even more available! Every first Sunday of the month will be "Scrip Sunday" where we'll take and place orders for Scrip Gift cards, Marsh grocery cards and Kroger grocery cards. The reason for the effectiveness of scrip is simple: families generate revenue through purchases they would make anyway. Groceries, clothing, toys, gifts, even gasoline can be purchased with scrip. An organization with 150 families easily spends between one and two million dollars per year on food, clothing and other essentials. If these families use scrip for these purchases, they can raise as much as $40,000 to $80,000 per year for their organization - without spending an additional penny!

Worship Schedule

New Joy has two worship services on Sundays. The early service begins at 8:00 am and the second service begins at 9:45.  Our 9:45 service offers loving childcare in the nursery as well as Sunday's Cool during the service for children ages 3 years through 6th grade.
